Combating Illegal Dumping in South LA

Parents, students, and community members from Animo James B. Taylor and Alain LeRoy Locke came together to address the illegal dumping happening around the railroad tracks in their area. As a result of their continuous efforts (from community walks and calls to MYLA311), they secured a big win: a fence was built around the railroad tracks. Since then, dumping has significantly decreased in that area.
