Youth-Led Anti-Vaping Campaign

UPAS Young Organizers in coalition with the American Heart Association and LA Families Fighting Flavored Tobacco campaign successfully organized to end the sale of flavored tobacco products in unincorporated Los Angeles county. Student leaders collected over 400 petition signatures, attended meetings with board members, and advocated at the final hearing - influencing the Board of Supervisors to unanimously pass a full ban on the sale of flavored tobacco products in unincorporated LA County.
